Exactly. Only time will tell. Hard to really know.


I wish Darren the best. Have had some interaction with him through a few players I have helped. Ended up giving one of them a workout but never signed him. Good opportunity and moment for the guy though. Made his day! He can always say he got his chance when nobody else would give him a chance, Darren did. Good guy for sure.

According to local reporters, he started as a scout and worked his way up in Denver. You dont go from scout to asst. GM under a guy that didn't hire you if you're "meh". Apparently well respected around the league too.
