well, sonofabitch...

Miranda's bacon is saved for another start.

Still dreading Gallardo's start tomorrow, though.

Frustrating game, but the M's kept chipping away and got a big win. Gained a game on damn near everyone in the wild card race.

Good comeback.

I hate to be a Debby Downer after a resilient effort by the Mariners, but they can't expect to comeback like that against a better team. The A's made mistake after mistake.

Comeback was good. Martin with huge homer was a nice way to take the lead. This team is due for a good start from their starting pitching but it might be impossible if Paxton isn't on the mound.

We might be better off just putting the ball on a tee for the other team instead of trying to throw it past them.

Well, I started with the first couple of innings and had to crash out because of early work.

What a nice surprise to wake up to! Are we seriously tied for a WC spot?

Some how some way this train wreck of a team manages to pull games out of their ass to stay a float in this race. Who knows if we make the playoffs, but you have to admit that this team has and unbelievable amount of grit; I've said this before and they just keep proving me right. It's crazy to think how this absolutely horrible starting rotation is in a legit playoff push, hilarious!

Moving forward, this is no doubt who we are. Tonight we will come out of a four run deficit to win 5-4, and throughout the game we will be motherfu**ing this team up until the two run ninth when Seager hits a 2-run blast to right field.

Martin, since his return:
7 RBI in 9 games.
.303/.303/.578/.881

Bottom Line:

When Haniger returns he needs an extended stay in Tacoma when you not only consider Martin's production but Haniger's lack there of before he got hurt. I have a lot of faith in Haniger for the future, but if Servais even thinks of pulling Martin out of the lineup he might as well be cutting off his nose despite his face. Coach dad is already walking a fine line with the way he has managed this team, don't take us out of a playoff hunt.

Also IMO Martin offers more value as a substitute than Haniger does. Martin runs better and fields better, and right now is hitting better. Overall, Martin deserves the roster spot right now. I'm just surprised he didn't get the call earlier, I've been pointing out for a long time that he was playing extremely well in AAA. Whatever was wrong with his swing appears to have been fixed.
