I haven’t given up on him yet. He seems to have made a little progress. Still a long way to go before his bat resembles a MLB firstbaseman tho.

He will be fine. Takes time. Hit .230 20 HR and I'll take it with his defense being the difference.

It will do for now. At some point, if we ever want to get to the ultimate level, it will take a lot more than that from either him or someone else. The same can be said for several other positions as well though.

Rangers have really lacked a “bad ass” at first base since teixera. Teams usually stick some guy over there who can hit really well. It seems like an easy position to fill, but it’s been a struggle for the rangers.
