Keny my point is that will happen on all message board sites. I like you and respect you as poster I really mean that.

Topics will go off base at times and as I said what bothered me the most was the blatant hi jacking of topics over there. The constant request from posters practically begging a few to stop and they just ignored those request.

It just seems like here when people disagree (and that will happen) they do it without the name calling and personal insults.

My comment about bumping old topics is true, why bother to bump a three or four month old topic to try and prove a troll wrong? I'm not saying you do it but it's common practice over there.

There is no such thing as a perfect message board because not all people think the same.

I just looked over there and one topic from MD from March 23 has been bumped several times to "prove him wrong" That's not my idea of talking hockey.

It's just my opinion Keny and again I hope you stick around here. You are as I said a very good and knowledgeable poster.

Steve, I appreciate your comments and honesty. It's a bit tough being a hockey focused broad out here though, many of the posts transfer to sexist comments and photos. It's really only a few, but instead of trolls, seems like this site has drawn a few of the next worst thing.

But I most likely will be back when hockey starts.

As far as hockey.....
I checked it out a couple of days ago and saw at least five MD topics bumped to show he was wrong. That's not talking about the sport that's trolling and something I am glad we have very little of here.

According to some it's fun and hilarious and there's nothing wrong with it, even if it clogs up the entire board.

What's even worse is MD isn't even visiting the boards now. He posted right after the Pens lost that he wouldn't be there til next season, so all those thread bumps do is irritate the good posters there

Keny thanks for the reply and in all honesty I have been guilty of making off the wall comments at times and on my part will tone it down. In fact in another topic I mentioned this as well. I get the impression that you're not the only female poster that feels this way. If any other female posters feel the same feel free to PM me or any of the mods in confidence.

I will discuss this with the others moderators and administrator that we may want to be more diligent about moving OT topics to the general discussion board because it seems that most of these comments are made in OT's.

I'm only a mod so I can only make suggestions on policy but don't want any posters to be discouraged from posting here because of offensive comments. There will always be things said that may rub people the wrong way that's just the way it is but I'm sure if they are made on the general board it wouldn't be offensive to those that come here to discuss the sport. There will always be OT's here but maybe we can make it so if the topic is, lets say moving in the wrong direction the mods can move it to the general board.

Maybe next year we will have the Wings VS the Sabres playing for the cup, that would be a tough one for you I bet.

True IPW, We are all wired differently the hard part is finding a happy medium. There is no perfect place and as you have mentioned sometimes you just go with the flow.

We just do the best we can.

Getting OT here but did you go to the Allentown Art Festival this year? I usually do but it's raining today so I will pass. It's a great show esp if you're a people watcher. All kinds of different folks down there.

That didn't ruin it, but it isn't helping things there either. Like wayne and Bossman have said, there's no point to it and the people being made fun of could care less if it is bumped. Ignoring is the way to go.
