The Louvins were unusual for their day(mid 50's-early 60's).

Pioneered the close harmony sound, which influenced many far more popular acts.

Songs ranged from fire and brimstone gospel(Satan is Real) to hard core honky tonk that caught the ear of Gram Parsons(Cash on the Barrelhead).
