Figured they deserve their own thread. They earned the #2 overall seed in the tournament. They swept the regionals beating NM State and South Carolina by a combined score of 25-0 and now host Baylor in a best of three Super Regionals.

We also suffered a huge loss when star freshman Alyssa Palomino tore her ACL in practice prior to the regionals. I believe we have enough talent to compensate but a huge loss nonetheless.

Yeah, hahaha, when you're AZ softball, you deserve your own thread on the UofA forum.

I read something like this team has hit more home runs that the pitching staff has given up in TOTAL RUNS this season. What the fuck? Sucks to hear about Palomino. Hopefully we can make a good run!

Looking at the bracket, it's crazy how much it's turned into a SEC/P12 deal. 8 Sec, 5 P12, 2 B12, and 1 ACC. 1/3 of the total field, and more than 3/4 of the remaining field. For fuck's sake. I guess before ESPN propped up the SEC, it was all Pac anyway.

Yeah those two conferences dominated this year. It's nice to see the PAC back to its winning ways after a few down years. Also interesting is that all 16 national seeds advanced.
