Heard yesterday and again this morning that Arian Foster has tweeted that he'll be "up in New England" this week. If you're visiting someone somewhere, you usually say, "I'm going to Maine or Nebraska or Denver or LA. Is Foster going to visit all six New England states this week or is he going to just one? My guess is that he's going to Foxboro, Mass. He tweeted that he's fully recovered and ready to play.

Anyone else hear anything? Thoughts on Foster?

Haven't heard anything.
I'd take Foster on a one year prove it deal with club option. Not sure how much he thinks he's worth? Slightly above vet minimum with incentives would make me happy.

If he's healthy, Foster would be a good pickup. Don't know how his salary would fit under the Pats' cap. There may need to be some cuts and renegotiated contracts.

Most recent I could find is in March (and it's just an article)

Would Arian Foster Be a Fit for the Patriots?

The market isn't usually very strong for a 29-year-old running back coming off a torn Achilles tendon.

But most 29-year-old running backs with torn Achilles tendons aren't named Arian Foster, and the New England Patriots aren't like most teams with who they target in free agency. And now that the Houston Texans have released Foster, as reported by Adam Schefterof ESPN (via SportsCenter), the Patriots have another option to add to their depth chart at running back.

Even with concerns about Foster's health, he would be a logical signing for a team with as many questions as the Patriots have at the running back position.

LeGarrette Blount is a free agent this offseason, and the two sides have "mutual interest" in reaching a new deal, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald. Dion Lewis is coming off a torn ACL that ended his 2015 season, and has nearly as many injury concerns over the course of his short career as Foster has in his six NFL seasons.

(yes it is old... Blount is signed...)

Guess who was seen at Logan Airport in Boston today?? 5/20/2016 and Arian Foster stopped to talk with a member of the Boston media. He told him that the Patriots and Foster have mutual interest and that Foster told him he was excited about potentially becoming a Patriot.

Foster said that his agent was handling the details...........

I only have one question................was there an agreement???

Thanks as always BK. Good intel on your part.
With a RBBC Foster may be able to stay healthy? Assuming Lewis and Blount are and can stay healthy? So I go back to my original post a good contract i feel is slightly above league vet minimum loaded with incentives.

Foster is reportedly visiting the Broncos in Denver as well. The Kubiak connection is being cited as the reason but it doesn't seem like the Broncos are all that serious about a possible marriage.

If Foster goes to Denver to talk with the Broncos, Belichick will not sign him. BB does not play games with free agents. History has shown us that when a FA come to Foxboro he either signs or he's not brought back. BB hates it when a FA comes in has a good meeting and says, "I'll let you know", leaves and takes the Pats offer to another team. If Foster is looking for more money, let the Broncos pay him.

Last check Denver would need to do some reshuffling of players to make room under the cap?
Yep no bidding war as far as BB is concerned.
IMHO I think Foster signs this weekend before he leaves NE. It's been a quiet week in NE something likely brewing?

Saw some other reports that Foster won't be ready to take a physical for a few weeks. So he likely leaves NE without a deal:noidea:

Uh-huh. We ended up signing Pot Roast after he left and took other visits.

Pot Roast had a contract in hand when he left. Supposedly BB told him that was it, nothing more. BB does not get into bidding wars on players. PR signed the contract.

Report: Arian Foster's Boston visit didn't include meeting with Patriots

Foster's agent:
Hey Arian, take a trip to NE and I'll leak a visit to the Patriots - maybe they'll say stop by while you're here?"
Arian Foster:
They didn't call?????
Agent:
There's always Denver.....

Title says no meeting with pats while the story says no trip to Gillette.
The two may in fact be exclusive.

Was there any trips to any local area hospitals?
Like the one where the leading sports orthopedic is usually the Pats team doc?

They saw him at the airport and Sox game. If he was visiting the new team Dr. someone would have seen him. I am pretty sure once it was known he was in town, some reporter was following his every move. We would have heard.

He just flew to Boston to catch a Red Sox game. Like he doesn't have the MLB Network?
