I am curious what he has left. Achilles are not easy to come back from

Probably not much. He was ridden hard and put away wet for several years before getting hurt. I doubt he is a serious target for the Lions. Not Quinn's style. My guess is that it is a ploy on his agents part to get the Dolphins to bite.

Not a good sign. Our RB corps is highly questionable.

Not a surprise. Phins had nothing behind Jay. They were desperate and it is definitely a better spot for Arian. 1 injury or serious lapse and he is the starter. Its possible he would of just taken the big back role here from ZZ which is not much playing time.

The kid they drafted from Bama has a similar skill set to what Miller had i'm expecting a healthy dose of Ajayi early with Martin taking some 3rd down snaps as the year progresses. Foster won't make the team he has always been a slow 1 cut zone system runner, now he's on the wrong side of 30 and is probably at best 75% of what he was before the injury. You never really get full motion back after an Achilles tear/rupture.

Everyone here should remember the difference in 22 year old Leshoure before and after his Achilles tear(college to the NFL since we never really got to see him in action in the NFL).

Foster is a batrillion times better than Zenner. Cmon now w that giant slice of cornbread.

Would have been a huge get. We have the worst RBs in football.

Every RB that has tried to comeback from an Achilles injury has failed miserably with no exceptions.

No Question that Foster has done more than any player on the Lions is likely to do in their careers. I think the concerns about what he has left after an achilles injury is real.

I do think Stomp was a little over the top with his negatives though. Foster is 29, so not on the wrong side of 30, and I doubt he gets cut when he got 400k guaranteed. And if he is 75% of what he was he would still be the best back on the Lions.

My bad 30 before the season starts. If he had been signed here as a rookie no one would even remember his name he was a good fit for Kubiaks system and the Texans had a much better run blocking line than anything the Lions have had while i have been alive.

I think his success mostly came from his patience, I think he would have been successful no mater where he went. His major concern was fumbling problems in college. I guess it comes down to if Kubiak cleaned up the fumble issues or Foster did, if it was foster he would have been a similar back for the Lions I think.

Okay so we have one shitty RB so you're solution is to throw money at another?

We have the worst run O in the league. Obviously BQ agrees, since he was interested too.

Won't surprise me when we finish with another bottom 5 rush O.
