I'm trying hard to not think of hockey...
... carry on. What was the question again?
i hear he's holding out until the flyers offer sheet him
kidding of course.
You might be kidding, but if the Flyers lose another defenseman due to injury, Holmgren is going to have to do something.
as long as its bourdon, gustaffson, or gervais, they still have room for 1 more injury, maybe even 2 if manning has a good camp
I can't believe the Flyers signed Gervais. If he makes the team & plays a regular shift the Flyers are DOOMED!!
at the time it didnt make any sense to anyone, as the flyers already had 6 NHL d-men, plus bourdon was going to sign to make 7, and gustaffsson was going to compete for a job as well, add in gervais and that brings the grand total of 5/6 dmen for the flyers to 5
then meszaros and lilja got hurt, and now all of a sudden gervais is probably the 7th dman
It just goes to show how tough it is to find defenseman throughout the league.
Maybe Garth did the right thing by drafting 7 of them. Time will tell.
I believe he did. Your team has the ground work to score goals but you can't keep the puck out of your own net most times(from what I've seen). If I was Snow I'd draft D-men for the next 2-3 season and hope to patchwork together a strong group on the back end then find a fucking goalie and you'll be right back in the cup hunt. Then again playing in the best division in hockey will make things tough.
I sure hope so...
But he has to sign. We must have Carlzner.
It is a must. Carlzner should stay in DC for the next 15 years
There's plenty of time. I think if he was going to get an offersheet it would have come by now.
Nah, it's just that Homer only had 1 copy of them available and he's waiting for the NHL to put a new stack in the mail...
yup. plus they have meszaros' LTIR too, and i think they're still 2 mil-ish under the cap
