Are Things Really This Bad?

I have never been a fan of Garrett...O coordinator.or head coach..But I don't see Jerry getting rid of Garrett for at least 2 reasons.........The big reason is, Jerry would then have to admit he made another mistake in hiring a head coach. And then the blame is on Jerry. Reason two.....I doubt that Jerry wants to swallow (probably) $25,000,000 in a contract........He just signed him in January.....

Brandon Carr counts $13,000,000 next season......I don't know how we absorb that much dead money ($9,000,000) just to get rid of him.....another Jerry mistake.

Drafting a TE,WR,RB in the next draft might be considered a luxury......Defensive CBs and DT are a must.....maybe even a MLB
I'm not thrilled with Linehan's play calling, especially inside the 5 yard line 1st and goal
On defense, our safties are too deep on most plays, the Marinelli scheme needs to be tweaked....especially to make the D more aggressive.......

Cutting Carr actually saves you $6.3 million in cap space. But of course then you got to replace him.

The real reason I dont see Dallas firing Garrett unless Dallas totally tanks next season is not the money owed. Its more linked to the fact that Hiring a new coach this far into the Romo era might set the team back even further. If/When Garrett goes, the Cowboys are likely in full rebuild mode.

Mind you this is just from the outsider looking in view.

QB play has been a much bigger problem than Linehan's play calling.

Pretty rough season!

One amazing statistic to sum up the Dallas Cowboys' disappointing season

Few people are more excited about the end of 2015 than Jerry Jones. The Cowboys owner had high hopes for the year and, more specifically, his team's season.

Instead of competing for a Super Bowl or winning a division title, everything went wrong. He got the wrong kind of attention for signing Greg Hardy.

His star quarterback suffered two major injuries in the same season, with Tony Romo only able to return for about 6 quarters after starting the year 2-0.

His backup quarterback, the gifted Brandon Weeden, might end up winning a playoff game for a different NFL team in Texas.

His star wide receiver Dez Bryant suffered a foot injury the first week of the season, somehow still played in 9 games and somehow finished with just over 400 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.

Just a nightmare all around. But the worst -- and most telling -- stat of all? The Cowboys managed to win less games at AT&T Stadium in 2015 than the Alabama football team.

Go ahead and say it out loud. "The Cowboys won less games in their home stadium in 2015 than a college football team did."

It doesn't feel like it could be true, but it is.

On September 5, 2015 Nick Saban's Crimson Tide team thumped the Wisconsin Badgers 35-17 in the season opening AdvoCare Classic for Alabama at Jerry World.

A week later, Dallas won its first home game, beating the Giants 27-26 in a thrilling Sunday night game way back in Week 1.

The Cowboys didn't win another home game the rest of the calendar year, losing to the Falcons in Week 3, Patriots in Week 5, Seahawks in Week 8, Eagles in Week 9, Panthers in Week 12 and Jets in Week 15.

On the last night of the year, Alabama returned to AT&T Stadium and eviscerated Michigan State 38-0 in their College Football Playoff semifinal game at the Cotton Bowl.

The Cowboys can match Alabama's win total at Jerry World with a meaningless Week 17 game against the NFC East champion Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon.

But Alabama will always have as many wins at the Cowboys home stadium as Dallas did for this year. What a perfect way to sum up the Cowboys' season.
