Apple TV+ (Apple TV Plus, Apple's new streaming service)

With their new streaming service Apple TV+, Apple is joining the new streaming TV wars between Amazon Prime Video, CBS All Access, Disney's Disney+ and Hulu, Google's YouTube Premium, Netflix, and WarnerMedia's HBO Max and DC Universe.

Apple TV+ will debut on Friday, November 1, 2019, and Apple announced today that the price will be $4.99 per month. The price is less than their major competitors due to Apple's library of TV shows being FAR smaller than the other services' libraries due to just getting started. That library is headlined by the Jason Momoa science fiction fantasy adventure epic See.

Apple disputes negative Goldman call hitting the stock, says TV+ will not have 'material impact'

• • "We do not expect the introduction of Apple TV+, including the accounting treatment for the service, to have a material impact on our financial results," the company said.
  • Goldman predicted a slide greater than 25% in the stock over the next 12 months. The firm cut its 12-month price target on the company to $165 from $187
    
  • Rod Hall believes that the company's profit margins for hardware will suffer as a result of the TV+ free trial.
