I think Jiri Fischer should go in the lockerroom, bitch slap him and say "That should be me in your spot. Start showing you belong here."

I'd feel a lot better about the giveaways if he could clear the crease, dig a puck out of a corner, or cover his man... and I'd feel better about the horribly timed penalties if they were more roughing, cross checking... you know, violent stuff.

For the record, GMGM is on the reccord saying the Caps are staying with what we have at goalie

No. We're sticking with these goaltenders. They're playing well and we like them a lot," McPhee said. "They've been good for us this year. We're pleased with what they've been doing. We're confident in the goaltenders we're not making any changes there...Whatever else may happen is hard to define right now."

Did you hear Panger at I think the begining of the 3rd? "He's a fine young defensemen...." I swear it was about 4 seconds later and he throws it up the middle for the turnover right in the center of the slot.:L It's worth it if you can find it...

How his game these days? Has Semin slipped one past the goalie lately?

I hope the Caps keep him. He's good for a no-show when it counts.

Semin to the Oilers for Hemsky. This would be good for both teams. Hemsky is consistent and Semin is slightly younger.

Take away his 7 games last year and his 2 points, and he has 22 points in 21 games in the playoffs....just sayin'

Why would we take them away? That means he has 22 points in 29 games...but more importantly his play is just very average at best. Points aren't everything and all points are not created equally. It's not even that I necessarily think he hurts the team, but I just don't notice him that much and don't think he helps enough for what you're paying him.

We could make a very long list of players I would rather have in the playoffs for $6 million...and a player like that wouldn't fit into my longterm plans unless he proved me wrong (I'm thinking with the contracts that GMGM might agree).

24 in 29...but I don't really think its that he is not noticed durring pressure situations, he just is not noticed at random times. He's a very streaky player, and I don't think the playoffs have anything to do with that. Can you get guys at $6 million that I'd like better? yeah, but Semin has a very high ceiling as shown with his 40 goals last season. The next lowest contract of the 40+ goal scorers besides Stamkos is at 7+ million. If he's traded I don't know if we get full value right now, but who knows?
