Oregon jumped Bama but not FSU?
Scott Wolf strikes again. Oregon beats #7 by 19 and drops from 3 to 6 on his ballot
Meh. It is still early. I think more data is needed to really gauge how impressive Oregon's win over Michigan State really was. And I suppose we need more data to gauge how impressive that win against the Citadel was for Florida State.
I still advocate for a system similar to DIII, in which no polls are released until October - at which point there are enough connections through the schedule that you can actually draw some conclusions. At this point, it is all based on initial bias and a few disconnected pieces of data.

People seem to still be under the impression that the top4 in the polls will be the 4 for the playoff. I doubt 1-4 in the final AP/Coaches polls will be the 4 chosen.
I think they will. This is the first year of the CFP, and the CFP Committee wants to establish good credibility and avoid controversy, which they get by matching their eventual selections with #s 1-4. If they don't select the same as #s 1-4, then they will face a lot more criticism, which they won't want.
