I have been listening today and havent heard a word. The Boston Herald had him as going in for medical clearance after practice today and if he was cleared it would be in his and the coaches hands. They said it was unlikely though possible he would play tonight. Anyone hear anything?

no more than you heard ... i dont think this is gonna end well for Savard if he comes back to play ... totally playing with fire and he should probably call it a season ... I forsee a soft hit putting him back in the dark room

that would be my biggest fear, The Bruins look to be so much better next year with Hall or Seguin coming, dont need him gone before it starts.

I can't believe it myself. Just pop in a VHS of Lindros my man. Start fresh next year. Something like this should never be rushed.

You have to admire the competitive juices of Savard, though. Do you give him a roster spot and give him spot duty on the PP? That's a tough call.

NESN just reported that Savard did not get his test results back in time to be cleared for tonight's game so no Savard for game 6

Funny, you would think a team who has all these docs basically on call would be able to put a rush on such an important test if they really wanted to.

Matt Cooke needs to start sayin' his hail mary's everyday if he has to face Boston in the next round. That would make for an interesting series. As would Buffalo, having Crosby and The Miller facing one another again.

Either way, it's gonna be some damn good hockey.

Agreed. Look at David Booth, for example. These guys day-to-day lives will never be the same, none the less their output on the ice.
