I have no problem with having a veteran QB as your back up. And you hope that when the time comes they will be able to dial up some of the old magic. The problem with Orton is that there was never any magic.
If castle can be Philly than Orton has a punchers chance at least.
Phil Simms said he has noticed it in Romo the last 3 or 4 games. Of course he did his Thanksgiving game so he saw it first hand. He says he passes have lost zip, but he has been playing. Maybe he has been playing with it all along. He told JJ he was feeling better last night supposedly.
If he can, he will.
As someone that's injured his back, I have some serious doubts about Romo playing. It's just one of those injuries that can seemingly make every motion hurt. Sometimes, it can even hurt to breathe.
I suspect Romo's agent or someone in the Cowboys FO spilled the beans about this yesterday. I think Garrett wanted this under wraps in hopes of keeping the Eagles guessing. I think he's trying to provide some damage control at this point.
Here is my thing, if there was an MRI machine on the sideline that spit out news immediately, would he have stayed in the game the other day. He obviously played with it and didnt look that limited except on a few handoffs right after it happened.
He can get an epidural to alleviate the pain. He's playing unless he risks serious damage to his back.
So Im not getting all my hopes up for nothing. lol
I think he plays. If he does not play then this could be the type of injury where he ends up retiring. Romo has swown over and over that he will play with pain. They should still use murray 25 carries minimum
