Anyone remember the Glasnost Bowl?

USC was supposed to play Illinois in Moscow, but something fell through and the game was moved to LA.

It was 89.

I think that would have been a Cool game to play annually, with the way CFB schedules are made, it would not be hard to play the first game in Russia and then have a Bye the week after, also could play the game on a Friday (dont know how the time works over there, if Friday Night would be Saturday morning here or the other way around), that way the teams would have 2 weeks to prepare for the games in America.
