I was pretty high on Tate pre-season, but he just isn't getting consistent opportunity to produce in the Hawks' offense. As bye weeks come, sometimes you have to release a player that you don't want to.

What are your thoughts on Tate ROS? I just can't see his situation getting much better on a run first team with a QB who likes to share the wealth. Harvin's potential return won't help matters either.

I think that's a sell-low (or drop-low) proposition. Seattle has faced some rough Ds three of the first four weeks. Things will soften up soon.

Clearly this is a sell low moment.

This is why you shouldn't own elite kickers. I either have to drop B. Walsh or Tate in MBBRL. Will be a tough call.

I was high on Golden too, but I think you can cut ties pretty easily.

It's too bad he's on the team that he's on. He's an incredibly talented WR but in a horrible situation. There are a number of teams that could use him and make him relevant, but at this point, I think you can leave him go. This isn't a move that will make or break your team.

cut his ass. I'm not sure what people see in him that makes them NOT want to cut him. Doesnt get separation, but is good after the catch, I suppose.

Looks like he is right in line with his stats from last year:
2012 - 45rec, 688yds, 7TDs
2013 on pace for - 52rec, 700yds

Yea, the TDs aren't there, but no one can predict WR TDs from one year to the next. He only saw the endzone in 5 different games last year, and let's not forget the BS 21yd TD at the end of the GB game last year.

Unfortunately, most people (myself included) thought that Golden was in line for increased targets/catches with the Harvin injury, but it is playing out more like the norm for what Golden can give you as a fantasy owner.

If he was on the Patriots, he'd be getting 8-10 targets a week. Hell the Browns would utilize him better than the Seahawks do. I'm wondering if they weren't just spouting all that stuff in the preseason about how good he looked to increase his trade value, because clearly they have no interest in using him.

While I won't be giving you a reason to keep Golden..I will say this. . are you sure Blair Walsh is elite? There are currently 3 FA agent kickers in MBBRL within 1 FG of Blair Walsh. Personally I'd drop the kicker to replace the kicker.
Now if your not sold on Tate's future prospects, I sure won't argue with you, but I'd rather have Tate as an option for injuries or bye weeks than to take my chances just to fill in a kicker. Our wire is awfully thin as far as worthwhile WR'S and RB's.

Thanks for the input guys. Still not sure what I am going to do, but I will make the move on Saturday. That way, I will have a chance to reacquire whoever I drop once waivers clear.

I think Sox is correct that Tate is capable of doing a lot more in a different situation. Too bad that he is stuck in this one.

It is alright. He is going to have some nice games, just can't see how I could ever start him. A complete dud is way too likely.
