Yea Monkey this is really what it is. I'm good man. I ain't going over 1000. What platform would you recommend.

I don't trust newer ones like Robinhood, find one without transaction fees, I would stick with the big, established companies that aren't going anywhere.

I went to court and charges got dropped. I not sure I had to even speak. Judge was going case to case with "charges dropped " at a rapid fire pace, Had to miss a day from work though.

Start small and avoid tech unless you know it inside and out. Avoid streaky industries like car rentals and airlines. Good luck

thanks, and agreed - fully understand I'm more likely to lose than win, but it's fun to see something go up a nickle over the course of a couple weeks and what that does to your $20-$50 lottery ticket (i mean investment, lol)

ive got a buddy that works for Edward Jones so I ha him set up an IRA for my wife and I. Its gained about $1100 in the last 2 to 2.5 months which is right around 25% gain since we havent maxed it out yet. It caps at $6000 per year but we will only dump extra money in there because that sets us up better than just hiding it under the mattress lol.

If anyone wants his contact info I am sure he would be happy for the work!

set up an IRA

this is one of the first things I tell these young folks I work with that are in their mid-20s.

young, single, have decent jobs - I tell them to take a couple thousand and open a Roth IRA, then set up automatic monthly withdrawals from their paychecks, even if its only $50. Steady, continual, small investments build up over time.

In Nashville, skipping 1 night out for dinner/drinks per month easily frees up $100-$150 of a young person's budget to make payments in their IRA.

Exactly. That is what we used the stimulus for. I wishwe could have started earlier but kids and school is expensive. Now I just need a new job to use my degree for.

I'm about to jump into the market with 10k myself this week.

I don't know how active I'll be after that. I'm just going to buy some Microsoft, Amazon, and Tesla right now and hold it and ignore it for awhile. Then next year I might start an index fund.

RLFTF. It's a penny stock and normally I wouldnt touch pennys but this is literally a cure for covid. It's not all over the news yet but the FDA just granted it a "fast track" to approval. It's the only pharm company to get that honor. On a study they did on critically I'll people all had serious health issue and were average age 70 and it saved them all and they recovered quickly in just a few days. IT IS GOING TO EXPLODE. It started at 4 cents a share I bought at 10 cents and it's currently at 15 but was up to 30 cents yesterday. It is severely undervalued and it had over 100,000,000 in volume to day and double that yesterday. Once this gets out its gonna make people wealthy. Get yours buddy.

The volume has been insane and the price has been steady hit it has to pop soon and I think it could get deep into dollar land. Also heard some really big players are coming in to buy very large chunks.
