"If the game is started, then stopped permanently due to unplayable weather conditions, it will be deemed "official" once two periods have been played. The team leading at the time play is stopped will be declared the winner and will be awarded two points in the standings."
What...is this high school football? Sheesh!

or MLB, I don't like that rule at all. Frankly it sucks !!

I mean, if they can't finish the game outside for some reason, then take it to Consol and finish it. Don't just end it, or a shootout in Verizon.

If these teams play again just finish it at that time, Just pick up where they left off.

Yea....thats why I posed the link. This can either be Gary's biggest moment or his biggest failure. While I may hate him for his daily BJ he gives Sid, I dont want it to failt THAT much....just slightly.

Well at least I luck out with the game at 8pm. The family and friends always gets together on New Years to have dinner at a restaurant the reservation's are for four pm so I might only miss a bit of the WC and the start of the Bruins vs Sabres game.

I just hope everyone shows up on time, we have a few friends that like to be fashionably late ALL of the time!

I am becoming less against the NHL going back on ESPN. Sure ESPN treated the NHL poorly, and frequently disrespects it. However more and more I think the NHL does a good job disrespecting itself so I don't know how much it would matter.

I'm none too pleased about this change in start time (why not 7:00 pm Eastern instead of 8:00 pm Eastern?). Did Gary not realize that there's a Battle of Alberta game tonight on HNIC? This will cut into the first period of that game.
