The NHL is not going to announce anything until Friday night at the earliest, and more likely Saturday, beause as we all know, weather changes.

They can start it...
-Anytime between 1pm and 8pm on Saturday
-They would reschedule it for noon (with only minor, if any showers in the forecast) on Sunday if it can't be played on Saturday

Based on the forecast, I'd say it's pretty likely we'll see a suspension or delay in the start time, but with the entire day to start it and an extra day on the back end, I'd say there is VERY little chance it gets cancelled entirely.

The warmth isn't the issue, it's the pouring rain expected. Sunday is basically clear however. Rain will be in the early morning on Sat and then again around puck drop. But I think it should clear by around the 3rd period. I expect at the very least a delay.
