we're not the patriots, we're gonna have to pay guys to compete.

Except all they do is win baby win!!!! :suds:

But yes, the Patriots never seem to spend money when players deserve it

You do realize that the salary cap is going to increase another $10-15mil... GOing from ~$155 to ~$170. With the way the salary cap is changing every year its making it a lot more manageable to sign these contracts. And Ben's cap number is going to drop $5mil this season. They are predicting the Steelers to have somewhere north of $30mil in cap space. That's almost unheard of in the Steel City.

Long story short... I'm not worried at all about the cap situation. In Colbert & Khan we trust!

I will never understand this. When was the last time a team won a SB with highly paid WR? Seriously.

The Steelers draft great WR's all the time. I wish the Pats could draft that well in this area. The Steelers should of traded him. I know fans wouldn't like it but that kind of money could be spent on more important things you need. No?

Good move for the Steelers, yeah it's a bit of money but Brown is the best in the league at wide receiver, you want to keep him? You got to pay him.

if it was one of the better receivers in the league, I might tend to agree with you, but with Antonio being arguably the BEST WR in the league, it's a no-brainer. again, Pittsburgh is going to have the cap space to do what they want to do, and getting into bidding wars for guys not their own is not their style, anyway.

Good move by Pitt. Have to pay your core players to have a shot at a SB.
