yeah I saw that. We have team control for 5 years. I would bring him back at a discounted price let him earn his money again. I just hope Baalke and York dont trade him for a 6th or 7th rd pick. that would piss me off.

didn't he return some of his signing bonus?

anyway, we would try him out for sure, not trade him. as far as salary, wouldn't it be incentive based, cause they won't know how well he can play?

My guess is that he would be playing under his old contract unless they asked him to redo it

i'd think re-do it, cause no one will know how well he comes back? i'd think his current contract has a decent signing bonus?

yes but chances of him playing at his old salary is slim to none after taking a year off. I think him and his agent know the smart thing is to re work the deal and if he regains that pro bowl type level then we will pay him.

2016 NFL Draft position watch list: Ronnie Stanley, Vadal Alexander among offensive linemen to watch

Yep, one of these LT's would be nice!

Yes, we don't know where we pick yet, but maybe ONE of these LT's become our BPA? If so, i'd draft him even with Staley and even if A. Davis returns. It is difficult to get OT's so when the opportunity arises....don't hesitate. We also won't know if Davis will get past his issues and even if he does, get back near his old self?

Definately see an OT on the radar. The pricture will be clearer by the end of the season based on how things shake out this year

Yes especially Staley is getting older and losing some ground at a Top LT in the league. He is probably still in the Top 10 but 1-2 years ago he was top 3. So he is declining a little.
