So Durant is gone but with Westbrook there, obviously they are still gonna be a playoff team. He's top 5 player with a decent cast around him. OKC is reportedly trying to lock Westbrook into an extension so...

If you're Westbrook, would you take the extension to stay?

If you're Westbrook, would you leave when your contract is up?

If you're another team, would you roll the dice and trade for Westbrook knowing he could still enter FA in 2017?

If you're the Thunder and Westbrook doesn't sign an extension, do you just trade Westbrook and get assets in return instead of hoping he resigns?

If you're another team, would you roll the dice and trade for Westbrook knowing he could still enter FA in 2017? Hell no

No chance Westbrook signs and extension now. I honestly thought the odds were slim before KD left. He should test free agency next year.

If I am another team, I would absolutely consider trading for Westbrook, but only if the Thunder were willing to accept about 30 cents on the dollar, or if Russ were to sign an extension before the deal was finalized. That part is highly unlikely.

OKC should trade him now.

He is going to walk and they will get nothing in return except for a 47 win season in 2017

They wont win the title this season regardless.

They need to start the rebuild sooner than later.

Here's a good question. Are people going to stop claiming that Sam presti is a great gm? He drafted well with a few lottery picks, but other than that I think he's been a massive failure. He hasn't been able to surround his two superstars with enough shooting and secondary scorers. The Ibaka trade reaked of desperation, and Ibaka was the reason they traded harden. Oladipo is nowhere near as good as harden.

Westbrook is the favorite for MVP next year now, I know that much.

Is this serious commentary? Desperation on the Ibaka trade? He killed Orlando with that trade, absolutely killed them. Don't want to hear anymore about the Harden trade, Adams has proven that to be a great trade and I mean a great trade. Harden is a bum, ask anyone including his teammates.

Harden is a bum, that's for sure. He's Carmelo 2.0

I love Westbrook and always thought he was the better player. He has the fire and drive that Durant lacks. Russ makes this team go. I hope he stays as this team is young and really good. Okc has the big men to compete with anyone. It's his team now.

He has no reason to stay. This is going to be his 9th season. Signing a long term deal with this franchise entering his 10th season and going through rebuilding just doesn't make sense

OKC should look to cash in on him now and trade him.

LAL- Russell, Ingram, picks
PHI- Noel, Saric, picks, Luwawu
PHX- Bledsoe, Chriss, Warren, picks
DEN- Mudiay, Murray, Faried, picks
BOS- Thomas, Brown, Brooklyn's 1st

Just random packages I'm throwing out there

If I am the Lakers, I would want to have a meeting with Westbrook first to see if he would consider a one or two year contract extension - minimum. That way the Lakers have a chance to develop the ones that have played and get a player or two to play with him.

No doubt, as any team trading him would. Especially when giving up a crap load.

Westbrook is gone next summer for sure - Oklahoma should start the rebuilding now. Now if the Lakers could trade for Westbrook, possibly get Wade to sign - and give the Lakers hope.

I know that's a huge fantasy - but you know - I have to dream

Westbrook is gone. Now OKC will be looking for teams with top 5 draft
Picks and expiring contracts that match westbrooks salary.

That whittles down the pack. Maybe the Clippers get in on a three team trade

I think if your OKC fans you have a right. I mean he did go to a rival team who beat them. That's like going from sox to the Yankees.

LoL i dont know anyone burning but I'm sure some dumbass is that wants likes.

OKC will offer a long term payday. This is his team now without a doubt. Does he want to take on that or not. I hope he gets what he wants and obviously hope the choice is to stay.
