Guy was at LSU for 10 years and won 10+ games what, 7 times?

Yea he might have been getting older and his stubbornness towards not evolving offensively hurt him bad near the end of his tenure but... Guy was pretty dang good overall.

I'm not sure moving conferences does anything for them.

Competition hasn't mattered one IOTA......they're still a 4th place team in their half of the conference like they were in the Big12

And right now, they're getting KILLED in recruiting........just like they were in the Big 12.

They need to focus on one thing.......getting the right long term coach. That fixes a lot of ills.......

Easier said then done. Few programs can get that great coach. Look how Saban changed Bama's fortunes. TN still looking for that coach or hoping Butch can become it.

Yeah but it's really the only thing holding them back to be honest.

They have facilities. They're in a talent rich state. They get plenty of great matchups and games being in the SEC. They aren't bad academically either

All they need is proper leadership and recruiting. There's more than enough talent in Texas to support them and UT.

But they've never been able to get out of UT's shadow as the "little brother" school

A&M gets tons of hype for being massively mediocre.

Are you calling for Nicholls State to upset the Aggies? Nicholls State is the only team A&M plays without a FBS last year.

I am definitely happy about how the season ended for A&M. They quit on the season in the 3rd quarter of the Bama game and were terrible for the rest of the year that included a pathetic performance against K-State. That being said, they didn't lose to Kansas.

I don't know. The state of AZ doesn't produce enough talent the way the state of LA does. I think Miles would fail miserably in the Pac 12 due to all of the explosive offenses. His defenses would get ran out off the field if he brought that SEC mentality with him.

If I were you, I'd be more concerned with the FACT the same team that lost to Kansas is KICKING YOUR ASS IN STATE IN RECRUITING.

If I were you, I'd be more concerned that you have a very good chance of losing to UCLA, along with most of your conference games.

If I were you, I'd be more concerned with you possibly looking for a new head coach this year.

I think they will do well. It's a tough schedule. Sumlin made the correct staff changes in the offseason. OL should improve in year 2 under Turner. The DL actually has depth and the secondary will be really good. Still worried about linebackers and Chavis is tweaking the defense to work in a lot more blitz packages. The new S&C coach is a good hire.

I can't imagine anyone coming in to throw on A&M. The LB Corp is a disaster. DT is set. Not sure on depth. Madubuike is a talent, but struggled with back issues last year. Mack is a offsides penalty waiting to happen, but talented. DE is an issue. The secondary should be solid, but I am not where the pass rush will come from.

I just got to this thread. It was you and your brothers that were getting a woody talking about A&Ms history of being mediocre. Hope that makes y'all feel better about:

• 3 consecutive losing seasons
• not finishing the season ranked since 2012
• not having a bowl win since 2012
• not even going to a bowl since 2014
• getting shutout by Iowa State 2 years ago
• Finishing 8th in the Big 12-2 last year
• Losing to Kansas last year

But, hey you did hang close with Notre Dame last year.
