Another year, another inevitable mediocre Texas A&M season

True, but none of those teams are all that good. Auburn is the only one of the bunch with any real shot at beating Bama if Stidham is the QB we expect him to be

This year yes, but you have to look long range. The Aggies are never going to win the SEC Championship. In the Big 12 they have a fighting chance.

How do they get killed in recruiting? Do their facilities suck or something? Are recruits scared of College Station?

Look at their rankings. They get decent recruits.....just not good enough to compete against schools in their conference.

Take this year.......this year, the state of Texas is producing arguably the greatest DB class in history (Texas history)........they weren't in on pretty much 90% of the top 10 guys. Texas took 4, and may get 5....... Aggy got 1.......ONE.

They miss out on a lot of top skill talent, and I think part of it is College Station itself, along with all their traditions.....I think it turns off a lot of kids.

It's a good school, and the program has great facilities.......but a mostly empty trophy case. And their greatest player ever never finished better than third in his half of the conference and couldn't play for the Browns.

They did......they failed to capitalize on the momentum of having JFF while Texas was down and using that to take over recruiting.

They didn't build longterm on the lines......and we all know what happened with all their 5 star QBs they didn't keep.

Now they're fighting to land 3 star guys. I'm not sold they can beat UCLA. If they lose that game it might get ugly this season.

I'm not sure moving conferences does anything for them.

Competition hasn't mattered one IOTA......they're still a 4th place team in their half of the conference like they were in the Big12

And right now, they're getting KILLED in recruiting........just like they were in the Big 12.

They need to focus on one thing.......getting the right long term coach. That fixes a lot of ills.......

Jexas just wants us back because you haven't done shit since we left. Hoping that cures what ails ya.

Sumlin's under a lot of heat but this is actually one of the most consistently good runs A&M has been on in a long time

No. Serious. Haven't heard anything about him since he transferred out of here. Was looking forward to seeing him play but our new OC wasn't impressed. Think he will be any good?

I think they will do well. It's a tough schedule. Sumlin made the correct staff changes in the offseason. OL should improve in year 2 under Turner. The DL actually has depth and the secondary will be really good. Still worried about linebackers and Chavis is tweaking the defense to work in a lot more blitz packages. The new S&C coach is a good hire.

When they joined, I was pretty much like oh shit, them and Bama to deal with.

They need to re-join the Big 12. They'll be much more competitive there. .

I dunno, Sumlin MIGHT put one together here and get off the hot seat but if not and say... Les Miles is hired or Dantonio or Bert ect. (Just thinking coaches that run offenses and defenses more like what a lot of the SEC teams do)?
IMHO I think that would serve A&M well but, never know.
