I have heard that he has POTENTIAL in the OF, but that he is still learning how to play it, and that he does not have his lines down yet.

I saw a highlight clip of one of his games earlier this season where he was running all over the place in CF. He had the speed, but he looked awkward as all hell out there. I was then told that was just a bad game for him in the field, so I just figured SSS.

Who knows.

I watched him a couple times when the San Jose team faced the Stockton Ports...and he seemed to overcome terrible routes in CF with speed.

Sure, if you agree to not post pictures of the guy spearheading the rapid decline of our country in some sort of "cool" light. Destruction of our country is anything BUT cool.

And my dislike for Obama's policies does not mean I think "Republicans rule". In fact it is the Republican butt boys (and girls), who are at the heart of our country's disintegration. You are a good Giants fan, but you are wrong in that politically you think you "get it". You absolutely don't.

AND, no one complained about the discussion of religion in a negative light, nor one poster's signature dissing religion.

I think anybody who is hardcore republican or hardcore democrat is usually unable to have an intelligent conversation (imo). They're already 100 percent sure they're right. Then again, I can be an ass about politics sometimes.....

It could have died right there after your original pic and Mays other pic. Like I stated earlier, Mays should knock off the political stuff, but I don't blame him for sticking up for himself when msg didn't exactly tell him to "knock it off" in a very polite manner.

That's the way I see it anyway, otherwise, it's a slippery slope. Can Cam have an anti-religion tag, etc. I'm not particularly religious nor political, so I don't mind either.

FWIW, I have seen Brown half a dozen times in person. He has plus speed, on which everyone agrees. He needs a bit more patience at the plate, in my opinion, and he has had a tendency to argue with umpires over calls.

As to his defense, I have seen nothing basically flawed. He has great speed, and can recover from a bad route better than most. Cal League stadiums (that I have visited) do not tend to have great backdrops for hitters, and especially not for the CF. So perhaps chalk it up to a poor read on the ball.

Whatever, that sort of thing can be taught and developed. Speed however, cannot be taught, and the Giants are in almost desperate need for some OF speed.

I foresee Brown in Spring Training, then beginning the year as a Flying Squirrel in AA. Perhaps a mid-season callup to Fresno, and a September callup to the big club.

I am not choosing Christianity over Islam or Catholicism over Protestantism the way you are choosing one party over the other. I am knocking ALL religion, regardless of its origin. Your political post took a stand one way against another. If you want to slam all politics, I doubt you'd get much resistance here.

Come on Cam. I'm an Atheist too, but that part is a little unnecessary. I agree with the rest of your post, but that just seems like you're trying to start shit.

Mays fan, keep in mind that guys like msg are going to be a bit jumpy on defending this board after we got chased away from espn (yes I know you did too.) He isn't necessarily attacking you, just the concept of this board being littered with politics.
