Andre Smith has the same issues right now that he had when we re-signed him to his deal. There was a reason why no other teams expressed interest and I'm sure it was related to whatever is keeping him away from the club right now. If he's still dealing with this shit in 2 months, that would be the time to worry.

LOL. We are not cutting a guy we just signed to a 3 year deal, we are not drafting a RT high. You must be high to think that. Do you not get the loyalty of Mike Brown. WE RESIGNED THE WORST MLB IN FOOTBALL TO A 2 YEAR 6 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT. We aren't cutting Andre Smith if he sits out the whole year.

in April, he tweeted that the gun arrest has been resolved.... have we heard or read anything from the court? maybe, he is performing community service and wants to keep it out of the papers... seems Coach Marvin knows about it..... even though he tweeted differently, it would not surprise me it was arrest related somehow...

He is at a fat camp for Gluttonaholics. He will be out in a week and be able to resume his normal weight loss program once he gets under 400 pounds.

I refuse to speculate. I just don't assume the worst about Andre as many others here do. I see a guy who has a lot to prove, since he didn't get the contract he wanted, and I don't see any reason for him to do anything but play even better than last year, to show everyone he deserved that bigger contract. He'll still be eligible for another big contract if he plays well through this one. I thought he showed last season he has the weight issue beaten. He's the best right tackle in the league as long as he's healthy.

That's not true Crash..... You always assume that every one of our draft picks will be a contributor to the team!

That is not true. I rarely think our picks 5-7 will even make the roster. (Cobi Hmilton being a rare one this year because we have no good WR depth.)

I expect picks 3 and 4 to contend for roster spots.

I expect picks 1-2 to be battling for starting jobs.

I do, however, like serveral of our college free agent players we have brought in. I feel they are almost as good as our 4-7 picks this year. Goona be lots of good position battles this year.
