Is coming in for a visit. I think this would be a good signing. Can get pressure from the DT position. Had a pretty nice season for the bears. Could also be used as a DE on running downs.
Judging by their recent signings, the Cincinnati Bengals are interested in defensive linemen who were first-round picks.
That's why it's not surprising that Cincinnati has invited Bears free-agent defensive tackle Amobi Okoye for a visit, according to thesidelineview.com. A league source later confirmed this to ESPN Chicago.
In his first year with the Bears, Okoye provided a pass rush from the defensive tackle position, recording four sacks and 27 quarterback pressures. The 10th overall pick by the Texans in the 2007 draft, Okoye is still very young -- he will turn 25 in June.
Adding Okoye makes sense for the Bengals, who are looking to replace interior pass rusher Jonathan Fanene. The Bengals recently signed defensive linemen Jamaal Anderson and Derrick Harvey, both of whom were eighth overall picks in the draft.
