Last 11 bowl appearances UNC is 7-4 (.770)

We are 3-1 all time vs. Texas in bowl games.

In the decade of 1971-1980, UNC won the ACC 4 times.

UNC beat Tennessee in the 2010 Music City Bowl 30-27 in 2 overtimes, one of the most evenly matched bowl games ever played.

Man, the fact that we actually have a bowls PLAYED IN streak is awesome...winning 3 of them consecutively is like the sweet cream icing in that MacArthur Park song.

Just guessing Lou Holtz.

I would have guessed that as well, but he didn't. Remember, he had no win season in there, which is hard to overcome. Holtz finished up at 33-37. Still, more coaches than I thought had a winning record at South Carolina, though a lot didn't coach many games.

Coaching Records

Morrison was the last coach to have an all-time winning record at South Carolina. He and Carlen gave the program some prominance in the 70s and 80s which I believe helped them get the invite to the SEC.

Interestingly, both Carlen and Morrison were 0-3 in bowls and pretty much all were ugly losses.
