108.8. Is that the world record?
world* excludes Russia
man, Weber had beaten the prior record as well.
how the hell do you crank up like that. jumpin jimminy.
Imagine taking a Chara slapshot of the shin? Pads or not that shit has got to hurt
I've cracked shinguards a few times blocking shots, and had one shinguard shatter off of a shot.
that one hurt.

Team Alfredsson FTW

Anything can happen in an All-Star game where 20+ goals may be scored, but I'll still be shocked if Team Alfredsson loses today. They have statistically the three best goalies, the three most offensive defensemen and in my opinion are at least equally talented at forward. Plus, there's a lot of chemistry with the Sedins, team Ottawa, Giroux/Hartnell and all of the Swedes, then you add in the home crowd to top it all off.

The save of the night was Jonathan Quick on Lupul.

The performance was Chara with that 108.8. Then runner-up was Shea Weber trying his best to even come close.

I think that Breakaway challenge is beyond brutal to watch along with that skill challenge relay. The highlight for me during either was watching Datsyuk through the cones it was perfection.

I really wish they would bring back the breakaway relay at least the goalies saves truly counted.

Lundqvist made a great split save (on Malkin I believe?) that deserves an honorable mention

The two performances I did not see coming were Benn and Alfredsson, with Alfredsson impressing me the most. I do kinda wonder where this looseness was in years past, but he's been unbelievable this year and looks like he was just having a stupid amount of fun out there. 100+ MPH slappah? Seriously, who expected that - other than Kenny?

I knew Benn was good, I mean he owned the whole Jackets team, but wow. That accuracy drill was something.

Price is a nut. I loved it. But Elliott stole the overall goalie show. I hope he publishes his helmet cam video.

Also, mega props to Ottawa Fans. Great Ovations for Chara, Elliott and Hossa. And those kids not banging sticks for Kessel (I think. One of the Leafuses). Cracked me up. Well done boys.
