NEW YORK — The league that wins baseball's All-Star Game no longer will get home-field advantage in the World Series, which instead will go to the pennant winner with the better regular-season record.

the problem was not the all star game deciding, it was the deciding who plays in the all star game... I did like the aspect of the best players of a league(most on playoff contending teams) fighting to win it for there league...

Lots of whining about this but for 28 teams, it didn't matter. For the other 2, if you can't win a game on the road, you should lose the W.S. Either way, it's finally scrapped which will allow a few million whistleheads to have something really important to bitch about.
