The last few major debuts in AEW (Andrade, Miro, FTR) all felt underwhelming to me. The Black one was done right. The reaction of the live crowd helped but taking out a big star in the company made it seem like he's already a top tier guy on night one. The male roster is loaded- there's a half dozen wrestlers who can be world champion right now and another half dozen who can be there in a few months with the right push.

I wonder if it was a one off since it was in Miami or if they're planning on bringing in someone from American Top Team to have a match with Lance Archer. Wouldn't be the worst idea considering they don't really have anything for Archer at the moment. Plus Lambert can talk and so can Jake. That could be a decent program to slow build to a match at All Out.

I can see him possibly being in a Pat McAfee type role where he's just going to try to harass Archer and Jake now since he was very good on the mic. But my original thoughts were that it was just to promote the Conor McGregor fight this weekend.

AEWs light schedule has to help. He only wrestlers a couple times a month. He's absolutely fearless taking bumps.
