There are actually a few Wake Forest fans in existence. They are rare but I can attest to this first hand. During our 2006 game in Winston-Salem, I sat next to a couple of them in a sea of M&O.


They tried to "out-yell" us when Tech was on defense.

I was at the game too. There were two WF fans in front of us (I was in the second row behind VT bench). At the start of the game I yelled "The clock is about to strike midnight for Cinderella." They both gave me a nasty look. They were upset their stadium had been so invaded by the opposing fans. Can't say that I blame them, but it is what it is.

Exactly, it's pretty pathetic that during the best season in their school's history, VT fans outnumbered them probably 3-1 in their own stadium.

Just noticed this thread.

A lot of (mostly VT fans) people showing their ass in here.

I'm also going to call bullshit on these "stories". During that 2006 season, every game except for the Duke game early in the season was a sellout. There was also a rumor going around that VT gave out counterfeit tickets during that game which left a lot of season ticket holders without seats. I wasn't at the game so I can't confirm if that is true or not.

It should also be noted that Wake Forest has always been a basketball school.

It should be noted that Wake Forest has better attendance for basketball games than Virginia Tech and both programs have been as equally bad lately. So much for that "Wake Forest fans don't exist" statement.
