ALARM HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!

So here's the run down... I have a 2003 Mustang... Bought it from a used car spot years ago in LA (CA) and can't remember the name but it was shitty so it may not be there anymore anyway... I say that to say I know calling the dealer is a no go since I'm in Mississippi now... My battery died so I changed it out but now every time I hook up the battery the alarm goes off... I turned the key in the door, I've started the car, neither stop the horn from going off... I think I may have found the alarm box under the dash and read to clip some wires and twist them together, but I already yanked out what appears to be my antennae box so I don't want to clip anything until I'm sure... If anybody knows how to disarm an alarm or can tell me if I have the right box and can tell me what to clip is appreciate it going to get some picks now...

I think you need to reset your electrical system. Take it to a place that does alarms or auto starters and they'll be able to figure it out np.

I'll be driving around with my horn blaring all the way there... Plus if it's as simple as clipping those wires I'm there! But if not I'll have to pony the cash... Trying to save on that though... Xmas is a killer on cash and I just bought a new battery and it's only the first week in Jan...

Ha! So I unplugged the wires (red and black and big block) and left the pink and yellow in and car started with no alarm.... Is there a need to clip the wires or can I leave as is... I would ask the guy who said clip them but it was from 2011 in a mustang forum...

both of my cars did that. I had to push "unlock" on the key-fob before removing the battery. If the battery just died while the car was locked (which means alarm is on) then it will go off as soon as I reconnect. When it started going off I'd just press unlock and it would shut off.

If you have to cut anything, find the speaker and cut a wire going into that. That is easier to splice back, in my cases at least.

Oh and on my old 84 F150 I was having issues so I just pulled the inline fuse from it

No power, no honking.

Lol. 2003 is OK. I wouldn't kick up a fuss I had a 73-98 stolen. Although I kinda like the fox body 4-eyes from 79-86. But I'm weird like that...I think there is a trick with the buttons on the key fob to fix that. I had a F-150 that would flake out like that and I would just keep hitting the unlock button or the red panic button (can't remember which) until it shut up. It's a ford thing.

Yeah it's old but I don't have a note and I keep up on it so no bills out side of gas and insurance... Only bad is it's old... As for the alarm, I'd love to take it out but didn't know how... The battery died Saturday, replaced it Sunday night but whenever I tried to hook up the battery the horn would start wailing... Before the battery died I shut the alarm off with my key alarm... It had been almost 2 years since I used the alarm so when the battery was switched the alarm got reset and my key alarm was broken thus I was unable to shut it off again and I had some places to be when I posted this... It seems like pulling those wires killed the alarm and so far so good...
