Not really, and the D played fine tonight, it's the Oline I'm worried about. VT's D looks 10X better than A&Ms did today. But, with it being the 1st game of the season for both teams, I'm not putting much stock into anything I've seen to this point from really anybody.

59 yards passing---that has to leave a mark. I would be concerned about that with the like of Duke and NC State looming

Can't say that McCarron really impressed me. Nor did the Bama defense. Can't wait to see JFF go against the Crimson Tide - I got a feeling that Bama is feeling a bit unsettled by the prospect of playing TAMU

Bama didn't look very good to me either. They would probably benefit more having a mid major this week than a bye

Chased Logan around entire game when dropping back. Va Tech has 212 total yards (111 on two plays). Swarming tackles. I can live with accurate criticism but to say the defense did not impress is showing bias or blindness. I guess kick return games need some work too? :noidea:

Weird game for Bama. Quick early big lead through returns. Va Tech loaded box to stop run and did. However Saban has always slowed down to run cock with big leads. I looked up and Bama is winning 28-10 and has less than 100 yards total offense but 3 offensive possessions given right back to Va Tech through the returns. You do realize that? :L

Concur. They gave up one big play and a couple of longish passes, but for the most part the Bama defense played very well.

Anyone watching could tell the offensive line needs serious improvement. The good news is that the VT defense is likely among the best they'll face all season, so both players and coaches know upon what they must focus. AJ has to learn better ball management in the face of a weaker o-line.

Can't argue with AJ and the offense not looking great, but to say the defense didn't look extremely good, that's just fucking dumb.

When are people going to stop talking about Beamerball??? I can't even remember the last time we blocked a kick or punt. Beamer doesn't even coach special teams. I have a couple friends that play for Va Tech (walk-ons) and they told Beamer doesn't do shit at practice except watch and always says "keep doing what you're doing" lol. Even though we have zero weapons on offense, it's almost time to give Mark Leal a shot, since he can actually throw the ball.

Not as bad as I expected. On the plus side, we got plenty of shots of Shannon Spake. I'd slam that all day

I really would like to see her tits....then fuck her so hard she’d see dead relatives.

I saw Alabama lose to Virginia Tech in the 1998 Music City Bowl. Only Gobbler victory in the all-time series. Best I can do. :D

I’ll never understand the appeal of necrobumping threads. What’s the damn point?

So did I. Most miserable combination of weather and outcome I ever saw in person.

It was bad, but I have several others that were as bad or worse: 1976 Liberty Bowl (pure cold), 1984 LSU @ Florida (heat and humidity), 1991 Colorado @ Iowa State (blowing snow and cold), 1993 Liberty Bowl (freezing rain), 1998 Michigan @ Northwestern (rain deluge) just to name a few. In case you are wondering why the latest I mentioned is 1998, it is because I am a TRUE FAIR WEATHER fan NOW. I try to avoid foul weather games these days. I get caught every once in a while, but it is by surprise.
