Didn't see a thread for this one. Vanderbilt on track for a moral victory so far.

Too bad they don't have a kicker, would be 7-6 late in the 2nd.

Vandy always has great defense. Their problem is their offense. You get 20 points against them and you have pretty much won the game.

They played us tough at first, but I had a feeling that they wouldn't be able to keep it up all game. I noticed we weren't playing with the intensity that I"m used to seeing us play with, and Nick Saban said the same thing at halftime. He must have gave them a good talking to, because after the half we've been playing with a ton of intensity and laying the lumber like I love to see outta this defense.

Obviously Bama was going to blow it out in the 2nd half, if only because their defense got tired. But they were respectable in the first half.

Yeah, the main thing I pointed out during the game was that they just looked flat. It was a great game. They came out and got a wake up call early and still managed to get the shut out. They should be amped up for the Ole Miss game now.

Vandy came out with a great offensive game plan and executed the plays just didnt have the elite athletes to turn them into points. That coach seemed to know how to play against Bamas defense, not going after the big plays but nickle and diming them getting the ball out of the QBs hands quickly on crossing routes and to outside away from all the linebackers. He is also doing a good job of recruiting this year so perhaps Vandy can build their football program back up to a level where they are at least making a 6-6, 7-6 type bow in the near future.
