Is that the rule? If he lowers his head it does not count? I am not sure myself, just curious.

I guess since he didn't get ejected. It would make sense to me because there isn't much the defender can do and he wasn't targeting the head, he was aiming for the mid section which is what you do for a textbook tackle.

Makes sense to me. I think a lot of these are going to be called just because the WR are going down. Happened in ND vs OK today. I thought the WR was on his way down, but they tossed him. Hard going full speed and having the chest lined up, then have the WR drop to the ground.
