I'm wondering what a rematch would do for ratings. I would imagine, it wouldn't be a good thing, but I could be off here. rematches in a championship game should never happen.

I am gonna disagree on this. Let me first say, I did not see the game and have no opinion on it. I don't know if it was a poorly played game or a great defensive game. However, if Alabama is in position for #2 BCS they should rematch. I do prefer the idea of two undefeated teams and Alabama should not be above them (Houston exemption in place).

Now back to my regular homer opinion: I wonder who Michigan is going to play in the BCS Championship Game. Seeing how they were robbed in both their losses. (I still haven't figured out how - give me time)

They did everything they could to set up a rematch. I don't agree w/ it. Had BAMA won Saturday, there's no way I would want to have to play LSU in New Orleans. But only dropping BAMA to 3, it is very feasible for a rematch to happen. Oregon beats Stanford and Oklahoma beats OSU and we have a rematch. That's how it looks to me anyway.

I have never been in favor of a rematch if their are any other unbeatens but if OK State and Stanford lose this week then I dont really see anyone with too much of a complaint. I personally would rather see Boise FINALLY get their shot but I could live with a Bama-LSU rematch but hopefully this time they remember to pack an offense when they come to the stadium.

Its an interesting comaprison to the situation in 06 when OSU beat number 2 Michigan late by 3 points and the SEC basically screamed bloody murder when a rematch was brought up. How will they manage to flip flop their beliefs this year????

That goes both ways man. We as fans are all big, dirty, hypocrites. There's no doubt in my mind that the sames fans that were backing that rematch are completely against this one.

The biggest different that season was that OSU beat Michigan in the final game of the season. It's hard to lose your final game and make the big one. Same scenario if Arky can somehow beat LSU in the final week of the season. BAMA would jump them in the standings and go to Atlanta in a three way tiebreaker situation (barring none of those teams losing another one of course). Not saying its right, but that's what we're looking at here.

I don't like the idea of the National Title being a rematch between two teams in the same Conference. It just doesn't seem National.

The only way I would allow it would be if Oregon was the next best thing since LSU beat Oregon (and that is the only reason). I would say if Bama beat Team B and LSU beat Team A.

Then yes, do a rematch. However, if Team C is in the picture and neither Bama or LSU played Team C then let Team C get a chance.

Hey the defenses are great but it was some freaking ugly offense too. I know for damn sure that LSU and Bama have great D's but after watching that game Saturday I am not sure how good either of their offenses are against high caliber D's.

I think fans are getting a little sick of this "Boise State doesn't deserve to be in it" thought process. I don't know if they are great or not... if they are next in line and undefeated... then let them prove they can play with the big boys... and if they get blown out... well, you won't have an argument about it in the future...
