Saban refuses to cover the points, again, and heaven forbid that he let the 1st or 2nd string defenses keep FAU from scoring.

I am certain that other fans are distressed that he had five true freshmen and a couple of redshirts trying to stop FAU on that last drive. What would it hurt to give us another shutout???

Hence, he refuses to cover the spread and intentionally left the 3rd string defense in to give up points. The first or second string D would have given us the shutout, but Saban thought it more important to have motivational bitching material to use against the players and media.
