Maybe the A's are about to go on their annual 15 game winning streak.

Rangers are 7-15 in July. They were up 8.5 games on July 3rd. They're now just 2.5 games up. They've been outscored by 55 runs this month.

Yep. Bad month for them. They won't be this bad forever. I just hope it's not much longer.

Now 11-15, not good but better finish than start to the month. Now with a 6 game lead over the Stros. Hopefully Daniels adds a couple 2-3 pieces tomorrow and they never look back and win the division going away. Should have a couple more arms coming back in a few weeks along with Choo coming back next week.

Those 4 all stars are costing them a grand total of $34M this year.

To put that into perspective, the Angels are paying roughly $28M for Josh Hamilton to rehab with Texas.

sucks that Rangers still owe fat ass Fielder $80M over the next three years.

Actually the won't. Detroit picks up some of that. The Rangers owe him 18/yr. Not good, but better. Hopefully he's smart and decides to retire while he can still turn his head.

Lincecum's been DFA'd after 9 starts. His stats:

2-6
9.16 ERA
38.1 innings
7.5 K/9
5.4 BB/9
7.15 FIP
5.50 xFIP
4.5% K-BB%
2.58 HR/9
41.3% hard contact
-0.8 WAR

Have to wonder if this is it for Lincecum.

That would be a hell of a feat from 3rd place. Rangers line up is now set for a deep playoff run.

Jeff Lunhow doesn't like no trade clauses. He salty.

After steady rebuild, Astros on verge of taking a step back

I'd hardly call it a step back for the Astros though. Maybe they slightly overachieved last year? They were only two years removed from a 51-111 season.

The rotation has taken a step (or two) back, especially Keuchel. His FIP and xFIP are more encouraging than his ERA, but they're nowhere near his performances in 2015 or even 2014. There's still some very good pieces in there with Altuve (who is having a Joe Morgan-esque year), Correa (possibly a top 3 SS and he's only 21 years old) and Springer (star OF). Jury's still out on Reed, but he's got a lot of work to do given his strikeout rate.

It just reads like a whiny baby and I think it's funny.

My god the Angels suck. They couldn't catch the ball if the batter went out there and placed it in their glove.
