Triston Casas out for the year. Sox should have been giving Roman Anthony reps at 1st. For now, they are going with Romy Gonzalez at 1st. He's hitting well so far. Other options are moving Devers to 1st and making Anthony the DH or moving Trev Story to 1st and bringing up Marcelo Mayer.

I don't hate Romy there in the short term, though I'd consider trying Campbell there and promoting Mayer.

Anthony and Mayer can't stay at Worcester forever. And it's a big of a dilemma that their natural positions are blocked. You hate to bring up Anthony just to DH but the Sox have three potential Gold Gloves in the OF. I like the idea of moving Story and bringing up Mayer.

Too bad neither can catch

Anthony is 20. He's only been at AAA for a couple months. Mayer is 22 and only has this year in Worcester... I don't think the Sox are changing their positions, especially to 1B...

If Boston calls up Anthony or Mayer, it'll be after an injury to OF or SS -- OR after a huge trade. They'll likely be looking externally for a 1B - could that be a blockbuster trade including Abreu or Rafaela?
