Jarren Duran just popped out right behind 2nd base (with two outs).... As camera zooms in to show the catch, Duran is already rounding 2nd...

Who does that??

Sox blew some opportunities with runners on, but did just enough and Buehler looked good.

They can’t get anything right…..

They're blaming it on the stadium, but I don't think the stadium has anything to do with only looking at one replay angle. The angle BK posted shows the ball was clearly fair with feet to spare

Would have done everything in my power to keep Burnes if I was them even if it meant overpaying

They tried to over pay him 4/180 was the last offer from Baltimore supposedly.

Burnes has very young twins and lives in Arizona in the offseason, so he took less per year but more years.

Pure Steel is right: godawful starting pitching and dead bats.

Not good.

I just can't believe how inactive they seemed to be in the pitching market, and they still have young players/prospects they could have used to acquire proven starters. It'd be one thing if you guys had a healthy Bradish and Grayson, I think that rotation could be fine. The offense hasn't been as bad as you'd think IMO, they do have a team OPS+ of 114 and 98 runs in 21 games. Offensive numbers are always going to be bogged down in April, especially with the colder weather.

Bradish wasnt ever going to be an option until the second half of the year anyway (tommy john surgery I think).

Grayson was part of the plan but hurt himself in spring training, then recently suffered a setback. He seems to get hurt quite a bit, and there wasnt really a guarantee that he was going to be a consistent top end starter anyway.

So he’s hurt, Elfin’s hurt, morton is absolutely awful, kremer is inconsistent as a #4, povich is probably a #5 starter but might only be a AAAA pitcher, suarez is hurt, rodgers who they traded for last year before demoting him is hurt, Chase McDermott who had some spot starts last year is hurt, and kyle gibson - who at least can give you a 4.50 ERA and eat innings is getting stretched out in the minors.

The only reasonable pitcher they have now is the 35 year old rookie from Japan who looks good.

Its a horror show.
