Soto obviously wanted to be “the man” and didnt think he could be the man with Judge on his team.

He’s right in that respect: he’d always be 1B to Judge’s 1A.

i dont know what the final yankee offer was, but if it was close to the Mets offer, then it was clearly not as important to him as getting top billing.

Most Met fans I see on twitter are basically saying, "you got that deal to be our Judge!"

Which is 100% correct of course.

Still, not going to lie and say I don't think it's hilarious.

I’d find that hilarious too, id I was a Yankee fan.

The phrase, “always the bridesmaid, never the bride,” comes to mind.

Weird stat of the day. The Rays have not won on April 15th in 14 years.

Red Sox look to make it 15 years tonight.

That doesn't sound that crazy when you consider how rare complete games have become. We've had season leaders with 2. Not sure where the Cardinals rank among teams in that time frame, but I'm guessing it isn't at the bottom. Cardinals have for the most part had decent-good pitching.

I hate Boone so much.

Bases clearing double and 3-3 on the night but you replace him in the 7th inning for defense in a 4-2 game. Fucking moron

Lineup did some things tonight, especially Bregman. Also nice to see Duran go deep. He's been hitting the ball hard, but he's been hitting it at defenders

2 starts for Priester since he was traded to MIL:

10IP, 1ER, 7H, 5BB, 8K, .90ERA.

Small sample size, but not bad at all. If he can cut down on those walks, he’ll be really dangerous.
