Just curious, are you from Long Island?

That's the only place I've found Yankees/Jets fans. Where I grew up in Westchester it was Mets/Jets, Yankees/Giants

Tampa and Toronto beating up on each other is a beautiful thing.

That's the only place I've found Yankees/Jets fans. Where I grew up in Westchester it was Mets/Jets, Yankees/Giants

I grew up on the Flushing/Bayside border. Still live there. My Dad, his brother and my Mom's 3 brothers were all Yankee fans and I became one. The Jets thing was a tad strange. I went to a Jets game in Shea when I was 5 or 6 and just became a Jet fan. Most folks follow the teams as you mentioned but there's quite a few Jet/Yankee fans among my pals.

The only problem is they're both 5 games in the loss column behind the Yanks so if the Yanks lose tonight someone gains a game. The Yanks need to win and we have to hope these guys split their series. Need to get some injured guys back to. I'm glad they stretched the lead from 2 in the loss to 5 but I still don't trust this team.

We also need Torres to turn it on. I don't think D.J.'s toe is going to heal enough for him to be productive. Benintendi is going to be interesting. Even if he comes back will he be able to get enough at bats to get his timing back before the playoffs?

At least Holmes looks solid since returning. 6 appearances, 7 innings, 1 earned run, 5 hits (3 in one game), 1 walk & 8 K's.

I'm much more confident the Yanks will win the division than I was a few days ago even though I'm still not convinced but I still see an early exit from the playoffs either way. I hope I'm wrong.
