I predict a Sonny Gray gem tonight and than sucks his next 5 starts, just because it makes absolutely no sense that he would pitch well tonight

Maybe they should just let him throw fastballs.

Results can't be worse than what he's done to date.

Thing I hate the most about it is it means no Hicks, and Stanton in LF.

6 innings with 2 runs. If a team can get that out of their starting pitcher every game they should have an easy time of making the playoffs.

Sonny Gray is so useless

Not the prettiest statline (4:3 K:BB ratio), but it's hard to complain about 2 R against one of the best offenses in baseball (and the best offense of 2017). Unfortunately for him, Morton's dominating. Morton's pretty legit.

Bogaerts hit his second grand slam of the season earlier, the Red Sox' 6th of the season.

Morton sure was....ball was going around the plate, not over it.....The strike 3 on Gardner was criminal.....This guy has to rank up there with the other Cyclops that did the game the other night when CC pitched.....Sonny battled, was aggressive and let up 2 in 6.....I'll take it....

As I said before, that post came when I thought the Stros were about to blow the game open. Already had 1 run across in that inning and had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

I was expecting it to be at least 4-0 after that but he did his thing tonight. Hopefully we can get similar starts from him now

Saw very little of game , a balk cost us the streak? Looks like gray had a good outing, build on it! Morton got the benefit of the ump from my vantage point!
