I’ll take it
Baseball like it should be

the only thing left for Boston to cheer for is a bad week in October for the Yankees
The Yankees strike me as the classic 25 guys/25 cabs team. I don’t think they like each other very much and it leads to a flat disinterested group.

You’re the April 12th fan coming off a sweep of Baltimore

I’ll let you have your moment

You saw my prediction for this team. I said 87(?) wins? I’m not printing any playoff tickets. I said they would be ready as early as next year, however. But you can tell that they really like each other. Guys like Kikè and Marwin bring a lot of energy. That matters. They’ve already won a few games they had no business of winning. Just don’t let them hang around until Chris Sale is back.

Monday's game between the Red Sox and Twins in Minneapolis, Minnesota has been postponed.

According to Dave O'Brien on NESN, the postponement is not weather-related. This is presumably related to protests in Minneapolis as a response to the shooting death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright by police. We should have more information soon about a makeup game.

The suburban Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot a 20-year-old unarmed Black man during a traffic stop Sunday apparently meant to fire a Taser but instead made an “accidental discharge” from her gun, the police chief said Monday.

Less than 24 hours after a female officer in the Brooklyn Center Police Department shot and killed Daunte Wright, Police Chief Tim Gannon played an unedited clip of police body camera video showing the fatal incident for the media.
The video, which was played at a news conference, shows two officers approach the vehicle — one on each side. The third officer approaches later as the two attempt to handcuff Wright and he struggles. The third officer threatens to Wright that she will tase him before firing.

Immediately thereafter she is heard saying, “Holy s---, I shot him,” apparently realizing that she had fired her service weapon instead of her Taser

The shooting happened just before 2 p.m. Sunday in a largely residential part of Brooklyn Center when an officer stopped a car, later identified by Wright’s family as his, on a traffic violation. The officer found the driver had an outstanding warrant and as they tried to arrest him, he got back into the car and an officer fired at him, Gannon said in a news release.
Wright drove for several blocks before striking another vehicle, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening and was transported to a hospital, police said.
