If Tanaka can throw that slider for strikes, it makes all the difference.

Hopefully, he's figuring it out at the best possible time.

Same. I'm not worried about Happ because no way in hell does he start a game for us in the playoffs.

As long as Sevy keeps on the track he is on then the 4 starters for us in the playoffs will be Sevy, Tanaka, German, and Paxton

Be nice to get big Dellin back and locked in as well. While I have a lot of trepidation about the post-season rotation, I'll put the post-season bullpen up against anyone's. Adding Betances to that mix would really stretch that particular advantage.

If you face us, it won’t really matter. Boone will just use the big pen arms like crazy to hold us relatively in check with the knowledge that you just gotta keep the offense under 10 runs.

Tanaka I think will be tough for our lineup. I like our odds vs the other 3, but Boone won’t risk it for long anyways.

lol no. Need to go 18-10 just to get to 90 wins and that will probably not be enough to get past two of OAK/CLE/TBR/MIN. And with Sale out now, the rotation is rather thin and it has already not been a good year for the rotation.
