Why they rushed him back is a real head scratcher.....Were they trying to show he was completely healthy to possibly move him? That was my first thought when he first came back.....This has backfired miserably for whatever the reason was.....

he also has as many home runs (4) as he did in 2015-18 (he didn't play in 2016, he had a knee surgery and then became a free agent after a couple of rehab games). #nerdpower

Agreed. If a guy has a tear in his labrum, just taking his glove away isn't going to be some kind of miracle cure. As good a GM as Cashman is, sometimes the medical advice he chooses to follow is puzzling.

The only example to the contrary is Tanaka. I thought they were nuts at the time not to have him get surgery. That turned out to be the right call, but clearly he's the exception to the rule.
