6.83 ERA for Severino over his last 11 starts

Not optimal when you have to throw 20 extra pitches an inning because your catcher can't catch your slider, and your RF is scared of the OF wall.

Stop with the excuses for the guy. He has been a shitty pitcher for months now.

Maybe if he doesn't allow 4 hits in the first inning, he doesn't have to worry about Sanchez.

Also Sanchez just came back after missing 2 months of baseball.

What's your excuse for him in the other starts?

Sorry but there is no defending Severino. This guy has been putting up Sonny Gray type #'s for the last 2+ months. As I said last night, if the yankees 5th starter wasn't so bad then I would send his ass to the bullpen for the playoffs.

Yep. Rotation should look like this for the ALDS if they win the 1 game playoffs.

Game 1- Happ
Game 2- CC
Game 3- Tanaka
Game 4- Sevy (if this is an elimination game and he still pitching like shit to end the season then go with Happ on short rest)

Just need to get a bigger lead and insure that Tanaka is well rested and massaged like Kobe beef before that start......

Playoff baseball is a different animal.

Sox rotation in playoffs is Sale, Price, Porcello, and Rodriguez. That means that guys like Eovaldi, Pommeranz, and Wright will all be in the bullpen.

Those 3 all have starters arms and can contribute a lot of innings.

The biggest concern I have is the lack of a reliable set up man.
