Now that Austin is down, it may be time to cut ties with Walker. He's been a good soldier, but Drury can take his role and be a better alternative should Bird not get going/get injured

Walker's a proven producer, and signed to an extremely friendly 1 year deal. I think he's a piece of a trade for a pitcher.

Completely agree except I worry about Drury getting enough at bats.

Just took some time to catch up to his bat.....I posted a while back where I read he jumped to each level so quickly that his glove didn't have time to catch up.....You can tell he put some serious work in fielding and has a cannon for an arm....

I know his brother well, he's an auditor with KPMG that spends his summers in my office............At least my conversations with him can be more pleasant than last season

Looks like Robertson has straightened himself out too. The pen is beginning to look like the pen we were expecting.

By the way, the Yanks threw out a pitcher they hadn't used in 3 weeks. Why even have a guy like that? Let's get another position player up here and go with 12 pitchers.

I dont mind it, they cant find time for the position guys they have now..........having a nice mop up guy is useful in the rare blowouts, nothing worse than having to trot out Chad Green for his 199th appearance when they are up 8-1 in the 9th

I'd still rather have Toe up here than the 13th pitcher unless Kahnle turns it around. Toe can at least pinch run if it's late in the game and from what I read is a serviceable 3rd catcher

Last I checked they sent him back down when they brought up Frazier due to Gardner's knee being iffy.
